Hi everyone! My name’s Diane, I am in Spark this year, and I want to be your new treasurer!

For many of us, Cheer has become more than a sport; this is why I want to ensure the club keeps on running smoothly.

As this year’s Merch & Sponsorship Sec., I have had an insight into the financial and operational administration of Lightning. When creating our sponsorship pack, I identified the strengths and weaknesses of the club both on a financial and more general aspect. I plan on reducing our weaknesses to increase sponsorship demand. Furthermore, running the Merch Order confirmed that I can keep up with the workload that comes with ensuring profitable finances. Finally, the role in itself gave me an insight into the management of the Club; hence, I believe I would excel as treasurer.

As such, my main goal will be to, of course, maintain the budget and to decrease the membership price to make the sport more accessible. Discussions with the previous treasurer confirmed that this is achievable.

Having been on many societies’ committees in various roles, and currently working for the Students’ Union, I am confident that I have the organisational skills to stay on top of the workload that the treasurer position entails.

I am very keen on continuing to help improve the club that we all cherish and want to make sure Cheer remains fun and accessible.

Thanks for your time,

Lightning Love ?⚡!

Ginevra Ramella Pollone

Hi, I am Ginny, from Spark.

Since I started cheerleading I have been loving it. From the hard trainings, the cool stunts to the nice people I met.

As a Treasurer I will give my support in leading and improving the society: I am a perfectionist and I like to be efficient and organised.

Last summer I worked as a manager of finances in a company. Here I was involved in executive decisions for the team leadership.

It was a lot of work and commitment but a formative experience too.

I am confident I have what it takes to handle this role and I am eager to learn more about being on a Committee.

Anastasija Boikova

Hi, my name is Ana and I am currently a base for Bolt, studying Economics and Business at UCL.

I am applying for the role of treasurer as I have lots of experience in the role of managing finance with my current job in logistics was manager. I also had my own online business during lockdown. I would love to help this community grow, have better opportunities and help others. The previous treasurer helped me become more confident in cheer as when I joined I was a beginner, which inspired me. If any of you ever have any issues, you can always reach out and I will try my best to help.
