Anshika Malhotra

Hi everyone! I’m Anshika, and without further ado, I accredit myself as a perfect fit for this position, predominantly, in view of my experience in both in-bound and outbound marketing that lends me the motivation to grow the Business Society and reach mass audiences! I know nobody likes to read large lumps, so here’s a summary of my experience:

In 2020, I founded Menteere (an ed-tech platform) with a team of 30+. It has been operational for 22 months, and I’m responsible for overseeing sales & marketing, the core UI/UX, coupled with the company’s overall branding and media interaction. In my tenure, my team and I have:

  • developed a mentor base of 150+ students globally
  • sold 120+ hours
  • signed B2B deals with 10 institutions
  • mentored 1200+ students
  • been recognised by and accepted into Forbes top 5 incubator programs: Skydeck Pad-13
  • accepted into: UC Berkeley's premier Accelerator Program: Convergent and the FFC
  • Other awards - Columbia Business School's Best Pitch Competition, Entrepreneurs@Berkeley Demo Day, YNG+ top 10 start-ups

In addition, I interned at a growing fast-food chain based called ‘Crepe-Fe’, where I led a team of 5 - revamped social media with 650+ posts, and increased engagement by 83% to 10k followers! I also assisted in media commercials, created interactive content and organised advertisement campaigns

Marketing is my passion, and I look forward to a fruitful experience working with the Business Society!

Elena Lee

Hi everyone!

I'm Elena, a first year Economics undergraduate. As the Marketing First Year Executive this year, I designed publicity materials for Business Society events such as the Impact Investment Championship and led the marketing for the Non-Finance Orientation Day. It has been such an enjoyable experience working with the people in BizSoc that I truly wish to stay to contribute back to the society that helped me grow so much. Through working closely with the Marketing Division, I further affirmed my interest in marketing as I see how important it is in ensuring successful events and promoting our unique culture. Being involved in other stages of planning such as outreaching to speakers and on-site support allowed me to see the full picture of how the society functions and how to best market the society. I believe I am a suitable candidate as I understand the workings of BizSoc's Marketing Division and am a dedicated team player who can establish good rapport with fellow members. I highly value collaboration and am confident in leading the upcoming marketing team to achieve greater heights. My vision as the Marketing VP includes introducing more marketing themed events such as design workshops and case competitions and strengthening society branding to increase memberships.

If I am elected, I promise to perform every task to the best of my ability and I hope to be given a chance to make BizSoc an even better and greater society for all. Thank you.

Laura Sarinova

As a second-year student of BSc. Statistics and Management for Business, I am familiar with the essential marketing techniques and principles. During my studies, I had learnt about different aspects of business, but marketing has always been my main interest. I organised, promoted and managed many events and competitions as a gymnastics coach, student representative, and sales assistant. Through my leadership and event experience, I possess excellent communication skills and the ability to adopt voice for diverse audiences and varying purposes, a highly professional attitude and a significant ability to manage and work well in a team. My skills and experience will enable me to deliver successful results as a Marketing Vice President in a challenging and stimulating environment.

Zara Mahesh Ratnani

Hi everyone! I’m Zara and I’m running for the Marketing VP. As a first year student studying Information Management for Business, I have always been passionate about the world of Business, in particular the entire idea of marketing. I truly believe that Marketing is the backbone of every business, and this belief has strengthened after my past experiences as a Social Media Manager and a Marketing Strategist at local companies in my hometown. These experiences have enhanced my creativity, critical thinking, and designing skills - and I would be thrilled to leverage these skills with my passion for marketing as your next VP of Marketing.

If elected, I aim to:

  1. Develop the marketing materials by presenting all the society’s events and opportunities in aesthetically pleasing ways.
  2. Produce more educational content on the society’s social media platforms that allow members to gain knowledge regarding all aspects of business: finance, consulting, etc.
  3. Boost the awareness of the society by improving branding skills and expanding social media presence on different platforms
  4. Design infographics and posters that promote the society’s socials to ensure more members are aware of opportunities to meet other like-minded individuals

I hope to be the next Marketing VP for Business Society as I would love to input all my ideas and enhance the marketing division of the society to benefit all the members to the best of my ability.
