Heya Guys, I’m Josh and I will be in 4th year next year! As boatswain I would take great pleasure in overseeing the maintenance of our boats and launch engines. Novice captaincy this past year has really given me a taste of what its like helping to the run things at the boathouse and I would really like keep contributing. I feel that being boatswain appeals to me as it would give me an opportunity to do a bit more problem solving, I also like the idea of working together with the incoming assistant boatswain having had a good time working in similar dynamics with our wonderful novice coxes this year.  From simply fixing fins and speakers to organising the transportation of all our boats out to races such as Cambridge Head there is a lot to do.  I intend to use my time before taking over the role effectively to be well prepared - I have already started to help the current boatswain around the boathouse and will continue to do so as much as I can before September. Furthermore having attended a launch driving course and driven our launch engines for while now, I already have some familiarity with the equipment I will be responsible for. I also hope to carry on the great work this year with boat maintenance days to increase the accessibility of boat maintenance to all rowers . I would embrace the opportunity to keep up our boats thriving (kinda) next year and hope I can get your vote!
