Vision: Providing a supportive community that facilitates rowing at all levels. I want to support many student take up the sport and be successful too. Improved committee organisation and communications will allow the club to function better and develop a relaxed but also competitive atmosphere. Rowing at UCLBC should be at the heart of student experience.

Key areas to make change:

  • Club culture - Improve inclusivity and accessibility with a wider range of socials, improved outreach & developing the Dr Jeffery Easton Memorial Fund. Nurture community & supportive atmosphere through club communication.
  • Leadership - Provide a vision for the club and increase communications. A more effective committee structure to improve productivity. Planning will start early in the summer.
  • Performance - Introduction of Henley Crew stream from the begginning of term. The rowing calendar will be released at the beginning of the academic year so everyone can plan ahead for races, lake days & camp.
  • Safety and support - Checks of equipment in the summer to ensure safety standards & safety meetings for coaches, captains & coxes. Further develop support networks in the club to provide more support to students.
