Sam Yu

Hello! I’m Sam, a 3rd year Chemical Engineering Student. After being involved in London Blockchain Labs for the past year, I am now running for Treasurer. Through my attendance of LBL's events, I’ve had the opportunity to observe and evaluate how the society works, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed at this year’s committee. I hope if elected, I can continue their excellent work into the new year.

I joined this society because Blockchain is more than just a technology. As I see it, it is a vision of the future, and I am convinced that in the coming years, it will grow more and more and we a society will do likewise as the heralds of this new age. We the early adopters. I hope that in this capacity as Treasurer I can not only ensure the smooth running of the logistics behind bringing you more and better events, but also participate and get to know more of you, learn about your perspectives, and work towards better futures for each of us as we develop through this next year.

Being a Chemical Engineering student, and having experience dealing with things like this from my time running my own tutoring business and managing my own crypto-portfolio, I am convinced I can meet your expectations for this role, and I look forward to joining the committee you elect on this new adventure.

Hardik Agrawal

As someone who has been an active member of the London Blockchain Labs society for the past year, I would like to stand as Treasurer to help efficiently manage the finances and maximise the number of different opportunities(events, merchandise, etc) available for the members of the society. Furthermore, I have been learning about Blockchain technologies for a few months, so being part of the team will allow me to learn a lot from others with experience in the committee about the technology and other skills. Moreover, I have previously managed finances for events at school which involved negotiating with suppliers, a skill that will enable me to liaise efficiently between the Student Union, and the committee. Having realized the significant responsibilities that a treasurer holds for the society to thrive, I believe I have the skills that will benefit the future of London Blockchain Lab and its members. PS: Dogecoin to the moon(joking, this is not financial advice).

Guzalya Latipova

Participating in the events hosted and recommended by the Blockchain Labs Society enabled me to explore how blockchain technology is used globally. I would hope to continue the mission of the BLS to educate students and the community.

Being a Treasurer in my secondary school, I understand the importance of creating a budget plan by communicating with several societal divisions. I know this provides a smooth operation of various events the society is planning to organise and so good member experience. Having a desire to increase the reach of the BLS for more students at UCL and London, I would help solve many administrative matters that prevent the successful outcome of any plans. I believe this commitment would help to be motivated and successful in ensuring the long-term finial stability of the society.

Overall, I would love to be in the heart of the Blockchain Labs Society to learn, grow and improve with it!
