gm fren,

Thank you for finding some time to read why I am running for this position.

I assume you are a part of the LBL so you know how awesome this society is :) Since I joined Labs, I learned so much from the great team we have and now I feel like it is time to give back. I consider myself an active member and I feel that with the greater reach that comes with this position, I can help our members reach their true potential in this field.

The future is bright for LBL and crypto overall and I'm here for it - hopefully successfully elected lol.

Miytesh Subbiah

I am standing for the role of president as I have a clear vision and strategy for the future of this society. I am determined to make this society an incredible platform to not only educate students on blockchain technology but to also connect with the blockchain space and network with industry professionals. Besides that, I would implement more social events to foster greater friendships between members. A possible idea I have for this society is the creation of a blockchain specific investment fund. This would allow members to learn key technical skills as well as develop a greater knowledge of markets. The Blockchain Labs society is very unique as it shares a community with similar societies at the London School of Economics and Imperial College London. As president, I promise to improve collaboration between  these societies and organise more shared events thus providing members with more networking opportunities.

As a second year student, I have had previous experience with positions of responsibility in my first year such as being the first year representative of the gaming society. I have also been president of multiple societies pre-university and I believe these experiences have equipped me with the skills necessary to be your president. I would truly love the opportunity to represent and have greater responsibility within the Blockchain Labs society as it is my favourite society in UCL!
