My name is Anna, and I'm a 1st year Applied Medical Sciences student. I could ramble on about what skills or qualifications would make me a good leader, but why waste your time with a resume?
If there's one thing you take away from this, know that I'm not standing for Community Outreach Officer because I feel entitled to it; I'm standing because I want to serve this amazing club that has already given me so much.
From day one, I understood what this society is about: it's not just a bunch of girls running around in uniforms; we are a sisterhood, one of the few all-women societies at UCL; we are dedicated to physical and mental self-improvement, all while having a good time; we are bonded by our love for the game and have each other's backs, on and off the court. As your Community Outreach Officer, I will organize more than the run-of-the-mill charity drive; we will have regular and accessible volunteering opportunities; we will engage in social activism and stand for causes important to us as empowered women; we will teach the skill and value of basketball to the youth in our community.
If you too believe that basketball is more than just a game, vote for me to be Community Outreach Officer.
Hi everyone, I’m Hazel! I feel I am a good fit for this role as I am knowledgeable about the local community, and passionate about strengthening our ties to it! I have played, coached, and officiated in and around London for half my life, and already know some amazing local projects we could get involved with! My strong organisational and communication skills would help us to connect and collaborate with local charities, to really make a difference! The UCLWB is a family, and I would love to grow it by engaging with new people and supporting great causes in a fun & meaningful way.
