Basketball Club (Men's): 2nd Team Vice-Captain

After playing for the 2nd team this season, I really enjoyed my experience and the team chemistry that we built, so I decided to contribute even more to the team next year and nominate myself as the vice captain. I promise to work together with the captain of the 2nd team and the rest of the committee to organize even more social events to increase our team chemistry, and provide the team with many training sessions and games so that we can improve throughout the season and play our best, while most importantly having fun. I am nominating my self as the 2nd-team vice captain as I believe I can make a difference in the trajectory of this club alongside the captain.

The reason I want to be the vice-captain is because I believe I can provide alternative insights for the captain and help make critical decisions on and off the court given my experience of playing basketball in previous teams. I also believe that the role of the vice captain is to encourage teammates to work harder and to most of all have fun regardless of a win or loss, which is something I already see my self doing on the court when teammates are distressed about the outcome of a game. 

Being someone who's never missed a game it's clear to say I not only love basketball but also the team in which I am playing with. I'd rather make an impact on our second team than strive to be a first team player as I think we have a lot of promising players that if put in the right system can prove everyone wrong and get promoted. I want to bring back the passion into this team and make everyone fall in love with the process of improving as a team that has a primary goal to not only have fun but also to win.

Basketball is a game we all love and the role of being vice-captain is something I am willing to commit to, as I think the attributes I have will benefit the team and hopefully lead us to a division promotion.
