Hello :)
I would like to be involved with the society's finances as I have experience with working with money. I have held positions of responsibility in the past and am therefore well equipped for working within a committee. Since I am the captain of a netball team (outside of uni) I have had to deal with the payment for each season and have managed the finances for the end-of-season socials and so I know how to direct the funds of the society in the most beneficial way.

Baking Society has been my favourite since the beginning. The atmosphere created by the committee has always made everyone feel welcomed. I want to continue the events, the awards for Star Baker, and create even more opportunities for everyone to share their bakes. Since I have been a treasurer of my high school and middle school class, I believe I will excel at this role in the Baking Society. I am motivated to give all future members the amazing experience of Baking Society. I believe I can best do that by managing funds to create as many fun opportunities for members as possible.
Having had an understandably sub-par second year at home with my boomer parents, I forayed into loads of societies at the start of this year hoping to find something sweet to spend time doing. I found that in Baking Society- where the sweetest thing is (unexpectedly) the society members!
About Me
- I'm doing a master's in physics. I'm currently in my third year
- I've won baking society events twice this year (boozy bakes and savoury bakes)
- I don't actually like eating cake. Do you think artists make art because they like looking at art? :P
My Mission
- Improve gender diversity within Baking Society (King and I are the only guys who turn up with bakes regularly)
- We NEED baking society merch, and we need it nowww :)
- More members = more cake? We need more members
