Azerbaijan Society: President

On IB results day of 2021, the first mission I set for myself when it was clear that I will be enrolling at UCL for my undergraduate studies was joining the Azerbaijan Society and contributing to the promotion of my culture. As I immediately got into contact with the current President of the society, I let the team know that I am at their full disposal for any kind of support that might be necessary. After helping the team carry out events, and being chosen to be one of the two moderators at the Economic Panel that the society organised, I realised that I want to be the next President of the Azerbaijan Society. Due to my enhanced collaborative and leadership skills in High School, I am qualified to be the next President of this society. In addition, as I was involved in the society, I identified ways in which the society could be further improved in order to unite the Azerbaijani students at UCL, offer them support, as well as promote our rich culture to the rest of our diverse university. Thus, to be able to give back to my university and my country, I wish to run for the position of the President of the Azerbaijan Society.
