I founded the society in 2020/2021 and have led the society to its successes today. I would need another year to finish setting things up and ensure the smooth running of UCL Asset Management Society after my graduation in 2023.

Konstantin Popov

By having a clearly-defined multi-monthly curriculum, led by a group of young enthusiasts who are genuinely interested in portfolio management/valuation, I believe that there is a large addressable market for the high-quality, free preparatory material AMS provides. This will act as a stepping stone for students interested to gain work opportunities, and to further aid with this I would propose setting up a mentorship system whereby team members will be proof-reading applications, recommending how to manage time between them, and providing interview training in order to bring the most value to the members of AMS.

Additionally, I would press for more competitions/ active "socials" where people meet like-minded individuals in a work environment. For example, there could be competitions regarding to equity research (in groups) with the winners at the end of the year getting privileged access to senior positions in the Society, or these students could be receiving access to premier conversations/ could represent AMS in inter-university competitions like the currently ongoing Stock Pitch Competition. I also feel that a lot of what AMS is lacking is of people; an aggressive marketing campaign will enable students to more clearly understand the interconnected nature of AMS with other finance-oriented societies, and will thus attract people based on the scope of activities AMS provides.

Vote for me and AMS's bright future!
