Art Business Society: President

Hey everyone, I’m Lucy! You may have met me this year as the external relations officer, which has given me a solid understanding of the society’s inner workings and a great foundation to continue as president in 22/23. Having undergone a lot of growth as a society, we have the chance to shape and broaden the society to become part of the changing Art world.

I hope to deliver an engaging programme tailored to ensure every member can benefit from an inclusive environment to gain career insights and networking opportunities core to the values of the society. I aim to expand our reach for internal events and mentorship schemes as well as organise external visits to events, auctions, and fairs.

I hope to draw on my knowledge and experience to provide a platform for discussion and communication with the members of the society, actively seeking ideas and feedback to build on the strong foundation established in prior years. I have experience on this committee, but also in the Art world itself, working in various museums, educational public programming, consultancies, and having crucial experience in liaising and communication by hosting panels and creating gallery resources.

The world has changed drastically in the past years, months, and even weeks causing a rapid expansion of the art and business intersection. I hope to navigate the unique and exciting prospects it offers by providing insights from professionals at the forefront of these changes.
