Hello, I’m Josh, although you may also know me as Stara online.

This year Anisoc became one of the largest societies in UCL, but more than a large society, I believe that we’ve collectively built a healthy and active community. As President, I will use what I've learnt as part of the committee to help guide our community to be the best it can be.

Among other things, this will involve continuing to hold regular collabs as well as our signature Wednesday socials, while sprinkling larger scale events in our schedule. I also want to support more online events and streams such as the recent among us spree because they allow people with busy schedules or long commutes to participate from the comfort of their homes. I shall also endeavor acquire the means of fumo production (ther plushies will still be doable) for the society, so look forward to it !

Thank you for reading and I hope you’ll vote for me.

Nathanael Widjaja

The Anime Society has been one of my main sources of socialisation throughout the school year, in particularly thanks to the weekly Wednesday socials. I want to be able to help keep the snacks and drinks flowing every Wednesday, as well as for our other events, and maybe also add to our (currently very limited) selection of board games!

Where do I start.

A lot of you know me as the President for this academic year. Being a part of Anisoc has changed my life for the better, it's given me a place where I feel I belong. I've met so many new people with a wide range of experiences that have constantly pushed me to host events weekly throughout the year. Every week, someone has made things interesting for me - the late-night talks, the jokes, the discord calls, discord general, the weekly chill socials, the hot chocolate events: they really left an impression on me that gives me the drive to keep going. I want to thank every single one of you. From the bottom of my heart, you've made this year amazing for me.

And my passion for the soc is still going strong.

Thanks to everyone, I’ve witnessed the success of Anisoc again this year and would like to continue to strengthen the relationships with other socs and help foster collaborations. I want to strengthen our official events. Being President has opened my eyes to a wide range of friendly and welcoming societies, and I hope to work with them more in the future. I hope to implement further ways to improve Anisoc, whilst acting as support for the up and coming committee members.

It's been a long and enjoyable three years with the society, and I am proud of where it's at right now. Give me the chance to push it forward - one last time.
