Divine Afelumo
ACS have had an irreplaceable role in my first year at UCL and as a result I would love to give back by being part of the committee. I have decided to run for this position as I believe I possess the skills and commitment required for this role.
As head girl, I devised and supervised a sixth form committee in which I continuously had to liaise with the sixth form leadership team, members of the committee and students in the sixth form. Resultingly, I have developed strong teamwork and communication skills, which are crucial skills required for a Treasurer.
In collaboration to this, having had a part time job in the finance sector since the age of 16, I believe I have invaluable experience in managing funds which I will use to efficiently supervise the society’s budget to maximise enjoyment and minimise costs where possible.
I aim to gain more sponsorships throughout the year so that we can continue to grow as well as motivate the member of ACS to attend our events.
All in all, I wish to make the next year of ACS a year of fun, love and happiness by being a valuable and approachable member of the ACS team.
