I am a second-year Social Sciences BSc student here at UCL, and my interest in IP law is driven by its crucial role in protecting innovation and creativity. These are areas that I am already deeply involved in through being a model and creative member of the MODO Fashion Society, as well as various external projects. The field also exemplifies the legal challenges and opportunities presented by the digital age, something that my degree has inspired me to understand more broadly in terms of the societal impact. Being in charge of publications would allow me to expand on my social science knowledge to encompass legal issues, build on my creative endeavours, as well as showcase my skills as a writer, due to my background in being a previous English literature student. My approach will ensure that our publications remain informative, but equally reflect high quality writing. My experience in media production will also allow me to hopefully produce engaging content that will serve as a valuable resource for enthusiasts of IP law! Generally, I hope to eventually transition into law, so this opportunity would be great to gain further insight into my interests, whilst also maintaining a creative role :)
