What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I’m into building community through cooperativeness, so I would like to propose a series of fun and meaningful activities.  I want to effectively communicate needs and requests that are particularly urgent for students wellbeing. (like the water dispenser).

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have many ideas that would be great to execute to make this year at our accommodation more enjoyable and meet as many people as possible. Among my proposals are:

Spa / beauty salon day:  Anyone who has special skills like cutting hair, doing nails, make up etc get to show off their talent while others enjoy the service.

Tour around the World / International Night: a get together where students share a traditional dish and insights from their home country.

Yoga/Meditation/Exercise sessions: create spaces for shared meditation, yoga sessions or short workouts for well being.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

Workshops on interesting topics or handcrafts: candle making, origami, nutrition, universe, environment and more.  Students with knowledge/experience in different areas get to share it with others.

PubCrawls: organizing outings based on people’s experience and favorite spots to get the most of our area.

I am engaging, communicative and entertaining.
I like listening to others opinions and perspectives to make important  decisions or inspire change. Let’s work together to make the most of our stay at Urbanest!

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I would like to help build up a community at King's Cross accommodation, where UCL students can meet and interact with each other be it during events or on casual meetings in the common room. I believe the communal space is a great environment that is not used to its full potential by the students, a space where everyone should feel encouraged to interact and connect with others.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

During my time as a course representative as well as president of the psychology society at my previous university,  I learned that a little initiative, a good event here and there, are enough to encourage new connections and help people build their community. I have experience with organising interactive events and engaging people into getting to know one another. I believe that in collaboration with the SU, we can make Urbanest more than a place where people live and help people socialise and feel less lonely.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I have actively listened to some of the resident's complaints and suggestions. I learned that many people wish there were more occasions to bond with one another, to get to know their neighbours. If I am elected as a hall representative I will make it my mission to make these proposals into reality.
