Friends of Médecins sans Frontières Society: Events Officer

Hi! I’m Zabrina, a postgraduate Drug Design MSc student at UCL with an interest in humanitarian work, global health, and community engagement. I’m standing for the Events Officer role because I’d love to be more actively involved in Friends of Médecins Sans Frontières and help support the society’s events and activities.

I’m keen to contribute by helping plan and run accessible events such as film screenings, small workshops, and fundraising activities, while working closely with the committee to keep things organised and enjoyable for members. I’m reliable, responsive, and happy to take initiative where needed, whether that’s helping coordinate logistics, promoting events, or supporting on the day. I enjoy working collaboratively in small teams and bringing people together around shared interests. I’m also particularly excited to help create welcoming spaces where students can learn more about humanitarian issues, connect with each other, and stay engaged with FoMSF’s work in a sustainable way. I’d love the opportunity to contribute to the committee and support the society this year. Thank you!
