It's been fun being a social officer so far and the Valentine's Day workshop I planned in collaboration with Women's Wrongs was a hit! Can't wait to continue planning more events like this :)
As an English student, it warms to my heart to see how many people throughout other departments want to engage with our departmental society. Throughout the year, I found that I really enjoyed engaging in the events held by the society. Hearing of the opportunity to be a Social Officer, even if it isn't for the whole academic year, I jumped for the position as I think I can help push the society to the end, finishing with our end of year ball. I hope to drive even better engagement with the society with unique socials and end the year with a bang.
