Turkish Society: Advisory Officer

Dear members of the Turkish Society,

I would like to express my sincere interest in running for the position of Advisory Officer. I believe that my background in law, leadership experiences, and passion for our shared heritage uniquely equip me to serve in this capacity.

First and foremost, I am a proud member of our community. From my time as the Communications Executive of the Turkish Society, I understand the importance of fostering a sense of camaraderie and cohesion within our group. My aim, if elected, is to build on this, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued, and that our collective identity remains strong.

I am confident that my academic background as a law student, combined with my professional experiences at prominent universities and law firms, have provided me with a strong foundation to excel in this role. My diverse leadership experiences have instilled in me a strong sense of responsibility, teamwork, and the ability to navigate complex issues - which are crucial for the Advisory Officer position.

Moreover, my work with the French Embassy in Turkey has provided me with an understanding of the cultural diversity within our Turkish community. I plan to utilise this understanding to better cater to the needs and interests of our members, and to foster an environment of inclusivity and mutual respect.

​​Hey everyone! Acting as the president and social media officer for 2022-23, I hope to be a part of the committee in 2023-24 as the advisory officer to continue serving my community at UCL. I believe I will be a subservient member, advising the committee based on my previous experiences in both positions. I hope, along with the others on the committee, we will continue organizing many more fun events and activities while growing together as a community at UCL.
