Rugby Club (Men's): 1XV Captain

I have loved my two years playing for UCL. Not only have we played some incredibly exciting rugby, but the culture around the team has made me enjoy playing again. As captain, I would strive to replicate and enhance these key aspects in our club to ensure that everyone has as great an experience as I have been fortunate enough to enjoy.

My past experiences in leadership roles have made me aware of my own pitfalls and strengths, both as a player and a person. No one is perfect, and I would never expect it from anyone. What I want more than anything is to see people buying in, fronting up, and putting their all in – you will have good and bad days on the pitch, but not giving up when the going gets tough is, I think, the true test of sport.

Whilst we might be losing some of our best players this year, there is still plenty of talent left in this team – more than enough to challenge for promotion again and, of course, dismantle the poly. I would be honoured to lead you all next year.
