Anjali Jayanty

I’m standing for this position because I’m a friendly, approachable, and a natural leader. With a passion for psychology and education, I want to create a positive, interactive community for members of PES!

In the past, I took on leadership roles such as House Captain in high school. I learned a lot from regularly organising social events and can confidently create an environment for people to mingle and have fun. In this role, I'd organise initiatives such as writers’/book clubs for us to explore psychology and education topics casually outside of academics. As it can feel intimidating to seek new friends on your own, I'd also organise socials for people to mingle where possible.

I’m also passionate about creating a more comfortable environment for teaching staff and students to interact, so I would organise casual social events for students to get to know staff better and build a positive relationship. I would also organise mid-term and end-of-term socials with different themes and activities to give you a chance to unwind. I would promote our events and activities to expand our members and garner the interest of students across UCL.

But above all, my number one focus would be listening to what YOU want. I would make sure members of the society have the chance to contribute to our initiatives and feel seen and heard in their wishes. By voting for me, you would ensure that the Psychology and Education society is a positive community for everyone involved!

Tszyau Chiu

Hello! Some of you may know me as the Year 2 Course Representative for Psychology with Education, but I would love for you to know me as the president of PES soon as well if you would give me the privilege.

Why should you vote for me? Well other than the experience I gathered serving as your student representative from sorting out everything from nitty-gritty toilet issues, and event planning, to coordinating with staff with the student body, I am also fully prepared to give my all in hearing out any and all suggestions from you! I also have an extensive history in high school in event coordination, leadership, and management during my club activities which has helped me tremendously this year and will undoubtedly help out if I secure the presidency as well.

Even if you vote for another candidate, I really appreciate that you have taken the time to glance at my campaign. I sincerely hope to serve you all next term!
