Photo Society: Exhibition Officer

Hi, I am Sammy! I have loved being a part of Photo Soc and its committee for the past year, and I want to continue into the next year. One thing I have noticed about the society is its great opportunities for taking photos and attending workshops. However, aside from adding other members on instagram, there is very little opportunity to showcase your photography. One of my favourite aspects of photography is getting inspiration through other’s artwork - whether through using social media or going to photography exhibitions. 

This coming year, if I am elected, I wish to:

• Push for events of attending galleries around London
• Create a photobook/zine of member’s photos from the year
• Hold an exhibition that members can use to showcase their own work (with no specific theme)
• Like the darkroom, explore the possibility of making printing photos more accessible to more members.
• Hold workshops for things such as website/portfolio designing and photo-montage

The members of this society are incredibly talented and I believe it would be a shame if we weren’t able to showcase this talent! Thank you for reading!
