Medical Society: Clinincal Education Chair

Hey everyone, my name’s Vedika, and I’m a fourth-year medical student.

Clinical years can be tough, particularly with the sheer amount of content that needs to be learned, whilst balancing time at the hospital with other commitments as well. Having almost completed my first clinical year, I have recently experienced first-hand how hard this can be, especially after an intercalated year. I understand that the transition can be difficult so I intend on delivering extra support to the 4th years earlier on in the year to help them settle in! I am passionate about teaching – I have been a private tutor for the past 2 and half years and would now like to broaden my teaching abilities by teaching clinical medicine. I have found the MedSoc tutorials throughout the year very useful, and as chair, along with the subcommittee, I will aim to provide more clinical teaching sessions to build on the strong foundations set by previous years. Whether that’s high-yield lectures for every single specialty, or CPSA practice, for all clinical years.
