Over the years, I have come to realize that the most intrinsically significant instrument of success is learning to build relationships with people around you. I place a high value on successful communication; I consider the quality or characteristic of being a good communicator as the key to building relationships. I appreciate people who exude this characteristic which is why I work my hardest to ensure that I emulate the qualities of a competent communicator. I have been working with UCL in their BAME Inclusivity Panel wherein I strategize effective modus operandi in minimizing awarding gap of BAME students and help improve their interpersonal environment. Additionally, during my year-long internship as an analyst at a stock broking firm, I had the opportunity of networking with and shadowing seniors that helped cultivate my soft skills. Therefore, with the experiential learnings I have acquired, I believe that I would be best suited to give back to UCLIS as the outreach executive, through which I can coalesce my organized and result-oriented work ethic, with strengths in interpersonal and communication skills to drive positive change in our society.
Hi, my name is Shiven Arora and I am a first-year Mechanical Engineering student and I would love for the oppurtunity to become outreach executive for investment society. As a passionate and driven individual with a strong background in finance and a deep appreciation for the power of investment, I believe that my skills and experiences make me an ideal candidate for this role.
The role of outreach executive would involve expanding the society's reach, increasing member participation, and creating a vibrant and engaged community. During my internship at Sony Pictures Entertainment, I was assigned a project in which I had to present creative strategies that would help Sony to target unviersity students to purchase their products. Using the skills I gained from this experience, I could help the investment society to increase their outreach.
Furthermore, I was elected to be head of student voice during sixth form. As part of this role, I was responsible for ensuring that the opinions of the student body were represented during decision-making processes. Therefore, I possess the leadership qualities that make me well-suited for this position and I will strive to represent the suggestions and concerns of the investment society's members.
Lastly, I am a first-year representative for Punjabi Society this year which has developed my communicational skills and I am responsible for promoting the society through social media marketing and society fairs.
Hi,my name is Juliette and I am running for outreach executive of the investment society. Being a first year representative, allowed me to gain experience in regards to how this society functions. I’ve really enjoyed meeting and getting to know members, and am excited to further these relationships and our shared goals.
As a highly organised person, I believe I would be well suited for the role as I can use my coordination skills to ensure the smooth running of the society. Due to my international background, I have developed robust communication skills in 3 different languages that I hope to utilise in my position as Outreach Executive.
As your Outreach Executive I will ensure to maintain and establish new connections and relationships within the local community. I will also seek to make sure that all UCL students feel connected to the society and feel inspired to get involved.
