Hi everyone,
As a first-year undergraduate student, I joined the gymnastics team this year to continue developing my skills in a sport that I have enjoyed since a young age. Through my participation in both BUCS and UGCs, I have gained valuable experience and knowledge, and I have had the pleasure of learning from other gymnasts from different universities. These competitions were truly memorable and have inspired me to take on the role of captain next year. As captain, my primary goal will be to foster a warm and welcoming environment for all individuals who share a passion for gymnastics. Additionally, I hope to encourage more people to participate in competitions by creating a safe and inclusive space where everyone can feel comfortable, regardless of their skill level or experience.

Hello everyone!
This is Karen (again!), your gymnastics captain for the past two years. I would like to nominate myself again to be the captain next year! As someone who has been passionate about gymnastics for many years, I am excited about the opportunity to lead the team again and help our gymnast achieve their goals.
I believe that being a captain is not just about being the best gymnast but about being a leader who inspires and motivates others to do their best. As someone who has been the gymnastics captain for the past two years, I have seen firsthand how important it is to have organised training to bring out the best in everyone.
If elected as captain, I will work hard to create a positive and supportive training environment, and make sure everyone feel welcomed! I will listen to you concerns and ideas, and work with the coaches to ensure everyone feels valued.
I believe that being a captain is more than just leading the team during practices and competitions, but about being there for each other.
