Football Club (Women's): Volunteering Secretary

Hi! I'm Emilia and I would love to be one of your Volunteering Secs! Being a part of UCLWFC has been such a highlight for me this year and I'd love to be in a position where I could give back.  

I have really enjoyed past individual experiences volunteering, which makes me excited to see the potential that an entire team could have. Last year, I volunteered for the Indoamerican Refugee and Migrant Organization (IRMO) on a weekly basis for 6 months. I loved working with kids and would thus hope to do the same in football by creating more opportunities for young girls to play. I have also been a volunteer for Enfants du Monde as a translator, for UNICEF as a fundraiser, for my town newspaper as an editor, and for my school as a first-grade teacher's assistant. These experiences have not only helped me develop skills that I think  equip me for this role, including communication, organization, and attention to detail, but have also shown me the value of helping others. Together that value would only amplify :) 

I would love to engage with any ideas and collaborate with the rest of the committee to ensure we make a collective difference next year!
