I am standing for VP Charity Secretary because I understand how important it is for UCLFC to engage with outreach programmes and to raise money for good causes. We are privileged to be at UCL, and though success on the field is at the forefront of our goals, the club should value our charitable contributions as a trophy of equal significance. Volunteering at local underprivileged schools In Newcastle and discussing with family members who work in the charity sector has inspired me to go for the role.

As Charity Secretary, I would organise the club's contribution to the Movember campaign, and as well, I would continue the club's involvement in the C4WS Homeless Project. To further the good work carried out this year it would be in my plans to organise charitable events with other societies such as Rugby or Netball - by creating a broader sense of community, engagement is encouraged. I also plan on working with a mental health charity. This is a cause that has made its way into the national conversation in professional football in recent years, and through working with the Welfare Sec and Social Media Sec, I would like to keep the momentum going to reduce the stigma of talking about mental health.

Lastly, I have a great relationship with the incoming president, George Hayes. I am fully aware of the direction he would like to take the club in and I understand both the challenges and importance of doing so. I believe my contributions and assistance to him would be valuable.
