Standing for President of Enactus at UCL holds a special significance for me, as it combines my deep passion for creating positive social impact with my strong leadership and organizational skills. Enactus's mission to leverage entrepreneurial action for the betterment of society resonates deeply with my values, and I am driven to contribute my utmost to this cause.

Throughout my academic journey at UCL, I have been actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including volunteering initiatives, business clubs, and community engagement programs by being Vice President of Action Against Homelessness Society and currently the Director of Academic Events of the Economist’s Society. These experiences have given me valuable insights into the power of collaboration, innovation, and sustainable solutions to address social challenges which I hope to utilize in this role.

Mariya Kachwala

Social entrepreneurship and bringing a difference is the core of Enactus, and I am confident that as a person who is really passionate about social entrepreneurship in a role of the president I’ll be able to communicate this message across!

In the role of a president, my primary goals would be to foster a collaborative, creative and fun space for people and organisations who are equally passionate for the society and to try to increase the society’s reach in order to with more events and collaborations.

  • Being elected as the Student Trustee for next year as well, I believe I can represent the society’s interests and needs.
  • Being involved in the production of multiple drama and musical shows within the artsUCL community, I am confident in the workings of budgeting, room bookings and efficient organisation needed to run a society
  • Having worked with two different pan-Indian NGOs for two years, I believe I know first hand what are the expectations and problems that non-profits face and because of this I believe I will do my best to market the society’s client projects and opportunities in order to get the best and the most passionate people to work with them.

If you believe I am upto the task of fulfilling this responsibility, please VOTE for me and I can surely say you won’t be disappointed.
