Nicole Ng

I'm Nicole Ng, a 2nd year AMS student. I've found myself particularly interested in neurology and neurological disorders, particularly dementia associated diseases. University life can often be overwhelming for many, including me. In such a large community, I've often found myself feeling lost in my 2 years at UCL and i believe that being part of an open, supportive society can help foster this sense of belonging.

Hence, i hope to be able to help others find theirs, by providing a comfortable and relaxed environment, a safe space for members to explore their interest and meet like-minded individuals.

As a welfare officer, i aim to support members as an approachable figure and point of contact, providing them a safe platform to raise any issues or concerns. Through this, i hope to ensure the wellbeing of members, promoting accessibility, opportunities and equality, for everyone to feel heard. I aim to also extend this to prospective members, for them to feel welcomed. I am more than happy to address the unique experiences of each individual, and as a communication touch point, receive feedbacks on any elements of the society. I also hope to reach out to any members that might feel lost, and signpost them to relevant contacts when needed.

I believe i am sufficiently equipped to maintain this safe space for members and help facilitate a smooth and supportive university experience.
