I am excited to nominate myself for the position of VP of Sponsorship as I believe scaling UCL’s partnerships can enhance our visibility within the business community and major consulting firms and can strengthen our society’s relevance for students and the broader UCL community.

I believe my background and experience are ideally suited to the VP of Sponsorships role. I strongly believe in the mission of the UCL Consulting Society and, having recently worked as part of the Electro App team, I have first-hand experience with the value that UCL Consulting Society brings.  I have a passion for consulting and have built a network with partners and consultants at some of the top consulting firms over the past several years.  Furthermore, I bring strong communication and teamwork skills, which will enable me to build cooperation with the other members of our Society and with the sponsors and partners.

The role of VP of Sponsorship offers the unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our Society.  I am motivated by the challenge of taking on a newer division and creating more opportunities for our members.  I am confident that with my strong commitment, skills, and network I will be able to secure additional partnerships and deliver on the goals outlined.

Ellen Pei Wen Tsai

Hi, I’m Ellen!

As the Sponsorships VP, I aim to contribute to the advancement and prosperity of the Consulting Society. Acquiring sponsorships is an essential component of successful event planning and organisational management, while key partnerships play a pivotal role in realising our mission and expanding our reach within the consulting industry.

Driven by this, I am committed to creating value for our members and facilitating meaningful interactions that enable us to gain exposure to cutting-edge trends and career opportunities in the consulting world. I also look to ensure our financial sustainability and impact in the long term. As the current UCLSS Sponsorships Director, I am well-equipped with the skill sets needed to secure funding and uphold strong long-term relationships with sponsors.

My key objectives are as follows:

  1. Strengthen existing relations: Build on our partnerships with existing sponsors through fostering open communication and trust.
  2. Expand our network: Secure new opportunities by developing customised sponsorship packages that also align with our objectives.
  3. Explore new initiatives: Develop impactful event ideas catered to the interests and needs of our members - be it exclusive networking events or engaging workshops - with the aim of enhancing our member experience.

Being part of the committee means the chance to bring my ideas to life. Thank you for your support!

Freddy Szeto

Hi everyone! My name is Freddy, and I am thrilled to be running for the position of VP of Sponsorship.

Currently, I am a Consulting Analyst at Deloitte's London office as an Industrial Placement student, working at the firm's Strategy, Analytics, and M&A offering. My time at Deloitte has allowed me to establish a robust network within the firm and gain a deep understanding of the industry's ways of working. This experience has provided me with valuable insights in stakeholder management and critical skills to excel in the role of VP of Sponsorship.

As a strong believer in direct and effective communication, I understand the importance of being clear and concise in my interactions with stakeholders. In my experience, I have found that effective communication avoids inefficiencies and fosters innovation.

If nominated, I will leverage my experience in the industry to cultivate valuable relationships, with both existing and future sponsors, to secure partnerships that benefit our members and the society as a whole. I will be committed to pitching the society to different parties and showcasing my enthusiasm for what we do, whether that be through the means of writing emails, building pitches, or stakeholder management.

As I return to UCL in September as a year 3 economics student, I am eager to take on this new challenge and contribute to the growth of the society. Thank you for your consideration, and feel free to reach out through LinkedIn for any questions you may have!
