Canadian Society: Treasurer

Hello, 

My name is Julia Kadas, and I am running for Treasurer of the Canadian society. I am standing for this position, because I believe I will be able to meaningfully contribute to the society, as a Canadian, a law student, and a kind and collaborative person. 

Being a law student equips me with the analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities necessary to handle financial matters effectively. As Treasurer, my capacity to understand and interpret financial data will ensure accurate record-keeping, responsible budgeting, and sound decision-making. Law school demands discipline, perseverance, and a strong work ethic, all of which are transferable qualities that will help me in the role of Treasurer. My determination to excel in academic pursuits and my experience running clubs in highschool will help me in my responsibilities as the custodian of the society's finances, as I will meticulously manage the funds entrusted to my care.

I am a team player and value collaboration, which makes me a good candidate for supporting the committee's plans and values. I am also bilingual, and fluent in French, and will be able to communicate with people from any part of Canada. I hope to support the plans of the committee through sound financial planning and budgeting - to make all Canadians and people interested in Canada feel welcome and supported within the society!
