Blockchain Labs Society: Welfare Officer

Hello everyone! My name is Miytesh and I’m running for Welfare Officer of LBL. Having attended many LBL events, I have had the opportunity to interact with the committee as well as my fellow members. This society truly feels like a family and I would love to be a greater part of that. My vision involves: 

- ensuring a diverse membership base where students from all races, genders and religions are welcomed with open arms

- increasing focus on mental health issues that may affect those in the blockchain space

With its high volatility and risk, investing or trading within the blockchain space always involves the possibility of making devastating losses. This is more prevalent than ever, with an example being the recent UST controversy which has affected the well-being and mental health of many. As Welfare Officer, I promise to raise awareness of these issues and provide support to those who have been impacted.
