Art Society: Welfare Officer

Hi, I'm Ken! I'm standing for Welfare Officer to ensure Art Soc continues to be a safe place that allows creativity to flourish. As Welfare Officer, the well-being of each member and participant in social activities will be my priority, ensuring that the society remains a place that allows every one of us to express ourselves and be a welcoming invitation to all to access art.

How?

• Inclusive community:
  
  Ensuring the diversity of the society will encourage everyone to access art, and feel welcome attending events. I hope to encourage further collaboration with Cultural Societies across UCL.
• Inclusive activities:
  
  People have different amounts of experience with art, and that can be intimidating! I will ensure that beginners feel welcome, signposting beginner-specific events, and ensuring everyone feels included in all events
• Support growth and meaningful connection:
  
  Make sure meeting people is within a fun and supportive environment
• Closely working with the committee to ensure there is a range of welcoming events
• Supporting you:
  
  I am always willing to hear from people, always as a helpful point of contact. I will take on concerns that members have. But, I also hope to be a good supportive friend :)
  
   

I love painting and illustrations, and I hope to share this love as Welfare Soc, ensuring that art at UCL is for everyone.
