African Caribbean Society: Sponsorship and Careers Officer

Hi, I’m Nnenna, a first year Law student from Nigeria. I would like to be your Sponsorships and Careers officer. While afrobeats/bashment parties and the jollof debate are crucial issues that concern the ACS, I want to offer a little more.

I would like to contribute to the black community by acting as a mediator between us students and the wide pool of opportunities afforded to us at UCL.  While it’s great that we have so many options, it can be difficult to navigate, and in the process of trying to do this we may miss out on opportunities. I want to be able to help people who struggle with this, because I did myself.

Additionally, I feel that if we are able to increase the amount of black students who are able to access these opportunities, that we can further promote excellence in our community. This is a worthy cause and I’m willing to dedicate my time and efforts, towards it.
