MODO Fashion Society: Design Executive

Joining Modo has genuinely been one of the highlights of my university experience thus far , it’s a community I care deeply about. Why wouldn’t I want to be your next design executive?

The biggest highlight would be my involvement in the Modo fashion show. If there is one word to encapsulate my time being a Modo  designer, it would be modish. As one of the designers, my partner and I learned how to collaborate effectively, merge our visions, and communicate clearly with models and committee members. That experience showed me how much I enjoy coordinating, problem-solving all qualities that have positively prepared me for this role.

As your design executive I would ensure there is a clear and consistent line of communication with designers, models, and the wider team so the show can run as smoothly and effectively as possible.  Being a reliable point of contact making sure targets are met and that everyone feels supported. Strong communication is vital, and I would prioritise it throughout the entire process.

Beyond Modo , I’ve gained hands-on experience in costuming through the Drama Society. I’ve worked closely with producers to bring their visions to life and contributed to the production of Metamorphosis, which strengthened my technical skills, adaptability, and attention to detail.

I would be honoured to bring that passion along with my experience and collaborative mindset to our committee .
