Medical Society: Executive Events Officer

Hi everyone! I’m Sanjana, a second-year medical student applying for the role of Executive Events Officer for UCL MedSoc. My experience in event organisation and logistics coordination comes from my role as Vice President of UCL Hindu Society (2025/26). From liaising with sponsors and external vendors to delegating responsibilities across our extended committee, we successfully delivered three sold-out events throughout the year, each attended by 400–800 members.I believe these skills would translate well to executing MedSoc’s more academic events, such as the networking reception.  I understand how valuable these events can be for medical students to build connections and explore specialities. As your next Executive Events Officer, I would focus on expanding engagement with medical students across UCL and other London universities by working with the publicity team and specialty chairs to effectively showcase everything UCL MedSoc has to offer. My name is Tvishaa and I'm applying for the Medical Society Executive Events Officer role. I have experience in event coordination and team management from sixth form, where I helped organise our school's annual Charity Week, developing skills in delegation, logistics and working collaboratively under pressure.

More recently, as Head of Marketing for the Hindu Society, I developed strong communication, organisation and promotional skills which directly translate to this role: coordinating with a team, managing timelines, and ensuring events run smoothly and reach the right audiences. This work contributed to selling out every single one of our events throughout 2025/26, something the society had never achieved before.

As Events Officer, I would bring that same drive to the Medical Society. I'm keen to help plan and promote the society's networking events, connecting students with professionals in a meaningful way. I would also love to launch an outreach project supporting Year 12 students with their medical school applications, giving back to the next generation of aspiring doctors and widening access to the profession.

I'm passionate about building a strong, engaged community within the medical society and would bring creativity, enthusiasm, and a proven track record to the role.
