Freestyle Dance Society: Publicity Officer

Joining UCL Freestyle Dance has genuinely been one of the highlights of my first year at university, not only because it allows freedom of expression through dance and movement, but also because of the welcoming and supportive community the society creates. It’s a space where people can meet others, build confidence, and enjoy dance regardless of experience level, and I’d love the opportunity to give back to a society that has already given so much to its members.

I’m standing for Publicity Officer because I believe publicity is one of the most important parts of helping a society grow and maintain a strong presence within UCL. As social media is often the first impression people get of a society, I think UCL Freestyle Dance’s energetic and talented community deserves to be showcased both online and across the wider UCL community.

I believe I’d be a great fit for the role because I’m creative, organised, and highly engaged with social media. If elected, I’d aim to keep the society’s platforms active, engaging, and reflective of the fun and welcoming environment at the heart of Freestyle. My goal would be to create a mix of interactive content, including behind-the-scenes moments, battle clips, rehearsal videos, and promotional posts, while remaining an involved and connected member of the society throughout the year.

If elected, I would use my creativity, reliability, and genuine passion for the society to help Freestyle continue to grow and thrive.
