I am applying for the Bloomsbury Ventures Director role because I want to make venture capital and entrepreneurship more accessible to students by connecting them with founders and investors. As an Applied Medical Sciences student, I have developed strong analytical and evidence-based thinking, which I am keen to apply to understanding innovation, business models, and how ideas develop in real markets. I am particularly drawn to this role because it focuses on organising speaker events and creating opportunities for students to learn directly from people working in startups and venture capital. I am especially interested in how early-stage ideas are shaped, challenged, and scaled, and I would enjoy helping facilitate that learning through engaging, high-quality events. Through my experiences, I have developed strong leadership and communication skills. I choreographed for university dance competitions, leading teams of up to 15 people to achieve 1st place results, which required organisation, coordination, and clear communication. I also worked on a society committee recruiting teachers, ensuring high standards and suitability for students. These experiences have strengthened my confidence in engaging with people, evaluating quality, and motivating others. I would bring strong communication, organisation, and initiative to sourcing speakers and helping Bloomsbury Ventures deliver valuable and inspiring industry insights to students.
Hi! I’m Kush (BSc Information Management for Business), and I’m excited to announce my candidacy for Bloomsbury Ventures Director at UCL Entrepreneurs — to help make venture capital, startups, and entrepreneurship more accessible to every student at UCL.
I believe Bloomsbury Ventures has the potential to become one of the most valuable platforms for aspiring founders, investors, and innovators on campus. My goal is to create more practical, engaging, and high-impact opportunities for students to break into the world of startups and venture capital.
I want to bring top VCs, founders, and operators to UCL through workshops, networking events, investment simulations, and honest conversations about what it actually takes to build and fund successful startups. Whether you want to launch your own company, explore VC, or simply learn more about entrepreneurship, Bloomsbury Ventures should be a welcoming space for everyone.
As someone passionate about innovation, technology, and building communities, I’ll bring energy, organisation, and initiative to continue growing the impact and reputation of Bloomsbury Ventures within UCLe.
Your ideas, your ambitions, your future — Vote Kush for Bloomsbury Ventures Director!
