I’m running for Co Editor of Cheese Grater because I care about student journalism that is sharp, creative, and genuinely willing to say something. I’ve always been drawn to spaces that combine humour with commentary on real issues, and I think satire can be one of the most effective ways to engage students with topics that actually affect them.

Through my experience in journalism, political research, and student leadership, I’ve developed strong writing, editorial, and communication skills, alongside an interest in investigative and socially relevant storytelling. I also value collaboration and want Cheese Grater to continue being a space where contributors feel encouraged to experiment creatively while producing work that is thoughtful, funny, and impactful.

As Co Editor, I would want to help expand the magazine’s reach across campus, encourage more student voices and contributors, and continue producing content that is both entertaining and genuinely reflective of student culture and issues at UCL.
