Taran Kaur Bansal

I would like to be a Welfare Officer for the Bhangra Society because I genuinely care about creating a positive and inclusive environment for everyone involved. It’s a way of bringing people together, building confidence, and celebrating culture, and I want to help ensure every member feels valued and looked after.

I have experience in Bhangra through taking part in TBS, a bhangra competition, which gave me a real understanding of the teamwork, discipline, and commitment required. Being part of that experience showed me how important it is to support each other not just on stage, but also behind the scenes—whether that’s helping with wellbeing, encouragement, or making sure everyone feels included and motivated.

As Welfare Officer, I would use that experience to look out for others, listen to concerns, and help maintain a positive atmosphere where everyone can enjoy Bhangra and perform at their best.
