I am standing to become the welfare secretary of the club, as I want to make the position more involved within the club than it has with previous years.

Currently, rookies often feel unsupported when they join a high-intensity contact sport, and this is often one of the leading factors for rookies to quit the sport within the first few weeks. I am planning to change this by implementing a brand new rookie representative who will work alongside the welfare secretary as a voice within the committee, coaching staff and the rest of the team for the rookies.

Additionally, I would also like to implement at least 2 sessions every half term at the end of training, where people who want to voice something about the club could come to me and voice their concerns, to then be fed back to the committee.

Lastly, I am planning on running to the UCL ambassador for Movember, and if successful, I would like for the club to work much closer with the Movember team as it is one of our main charities that we support.

Vote for me to see genuine change in the Welfare Secretary role.
