Nicholas Dao

I'm running for Vice President because I am deeply committed to continuously growing our society.

Having served as a dedicated committee member every year, I've come to believe that true growth comes from continuous learning and adaptability.

Over the past two years, I've contributed significantly to some of our most successful events.

This includes one of the best Tet celebrations at UCL last year, and the largest-ever Viet Halloween gathering at UCL this year.

Being directly involved in these projects, I've listened closely to your feedback and gained valuable insights into exactly what needs improving.

Entering my final year, I am fully prepared to apply all these lessons to ensure the next year becomes our best yet.

My vision is clear: to create events that are both welcoming and engaging, meeting the needs of Vietnamese students as well as those raised abroad.

Together with the President, I will lead the committee to achieve the perfect balance of internal and external events.

My goal is to foster an inclusive community.

Effective society leadership requires trust, commitment, and accountability.

These are qualities that I consistently demonstrate and promise to deliver not only to the committee but to our entire society.

Duc Pham

Hi everyone!
I’m Duc Pham, a first-year Economics student, and I’m running to be Vice President of UCL VietSoc!

What can I bring to the table?
As SVUK’s External Affairs Ambassador, I’ve built strong relationships with VietSocs across Southern England and helped organize large-scale events like SVUK Cup 2025 in Manchester, where I also stepped up as MC. At the same time, managing AthenaLearn, an educational startup, has taught me how to lead internal teams, plan effectively, and communicate across borders.

These experiences make me confident in handling both external affairs (collaborations, partnerships) and internal affairs (team coordination, motivation, and event planning). As VP, I’ll support and respect the President’s direction while also taking initiative where needed.

From the previous team, I’ve learned that starting with a strong internal bond makes everything smoother, more enjoyable, and more meaningful

To begin as a VP who can handle internal affairs effectively, I want to show that I can both take initiative and align the President’s and future members’ vision through this proposal:

• Kick off with a high-energy Welcome Dinner
• Focus Term 1 on bonding: team dinners, craft nights, and an expanded Flower Workshop
• Begin mid-scale collabs with London VietSocs in late Term 1- Term 2
• Host major inter-uni events: Tết Festival and VietFest (mid-end of Term 2)
• End with internal socials to celebrate our journey

So, vote for me!

Thank you!
