I want to be treasurer to help manage the society’s finances properly and make sure they are used well. I’m reliable with numbers and want to support the society’s goals.
I am excited to nominate myself as treasurer of somali society, it is an honour and a very special opportunity. With a sting commitment to organisation and seeing our society succeed. As treasurer key areas I would focus on are budget management and fundraising.
There are many activities somali society holds many great activities and financial responsibility is essential to make this happen.
I know community both here and back home and our brothers and sisters suffering all over the world is an issue we all feel deeply, therefore making sure we give our but back is something I believe our values align with. I look forward to meeting you all as your treasurer next year in’shaa’Allah 🤍
Hi, my name is Yahia, and I’m running to be Treasurer of the Somali Society. I bring a solid administrative background, where I’ve managed budgets, organised records, and supported team operations, skills that are directly transferable to this role. I understand the importance of staying organised, being transparent, and ensuring every penny will be used wisely to benefit our members.
Beyond my admin experience, I’m passionate about building creative, inclusive spaces where Somali students can connect, express themselves, and celebrate our culture. Whether hosting game and film nights, supporting a charity or Eid events, I want to ensure our society has the financial means to support vibrant, meaningful activities throughout the year. I also have hands-on experience fundraising for charities, which has taught me how to engage communities, apply for grants, and generate support beyond membership fees.
If elected, I’ll focus on smart budgeting, fundraising, and clear communication so we can grow our society confidently. I’m committed to making every financial decision with integrity, transparency, and care. I would appreciate your support for Treasurer, and let’s build a more welcoming space together.
