Election post
I’m running for RUMS Sports Officer because I’m passionate about keeping sport and staying active accessible, enjoyable, and well-supported for all medics. Being part of RUMSBC has genuinely been one of the best parts of my first year - I’ve loved getting back on the water and want to help others find the same energy and community in their clubs.
As Events Officer for the Surgical Society, I’ve helped run events at the Royal College of Surgeons and pioneered the Scrubs Run Fundraiser for GOSH, gaining hands-on experience in pulling off big, successful events. I’d bring that same organisation and creativity to Sports Ball, making it another night to remember (or not 😉).
I’m also someone who gets things done - having managed leavers' merch in sixth form, I know how to handle orders, deadlines, and group chats filled with last-minute fleece requests. Stash will be sorted smoothly and on time!
Most of all, I’m keen to get more involved in the RUMS community and help shape what medic life looks like outside of lectures. I’ll be a reliable, supportive voice for all teams and work closely with the VP for Sports & Societies to make sure every sport feels heard and celebrated.
Here’s to another year of RUMS sport success… 💙💛
