Hello! Many of you may have been expecting me to have disappeared across the pond for this next academic year, however due to an unexpected change of plans, I will be returning to play with you lovely lot. Having had the pleasure of being on committee last year, I have decided to run again this year, but for a new position this time. Bringing my organisation skills and love for excel that helped me as Fixtures Secretary, I would love to be Treasurer for the team next year. Between my very cool calculator, maths AS level, and science degree - numbers are much more my thing than words. No one can claim I'm not committed to the team - having spent a day dressed as paddington, turning up to a match on less than 4 hours sleep in my best shoes, and being tackled into dog poo - I will continue this trend into next year. :)
Joining rugby this year has been a wonderful adventure—from stepping into such an encouraging environment to the satisfaction of seeing my rugby skills progress. It’s a community I’m incredibly grateful for, and one I’d love to support, sustain, and help grow by standing as Treasurer for UCL Women’s Rugby.
While this role shifts focus from my previous running of communications to finances, my past experiences have prepared me well. I’ve managed various budgets in school societies, community projects, and business settings, always with attention to detail and a collaborative mindset. From planning and budgeting a ball with finances up to RM60,000, I’ve learned that beyond the numbers, collaboration, creativity, and clear communication are key—whether it’s sourcing sponsors, engaging target audiences, or managing expectations to ensure everyone is satisfied. I understand the importance of being organised and responsive—whether that’s reaching out to new sponsors, keeping our club finances on track, or processing payments quickly to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. My past roles have made me confident in handling responsibility, while always representing the values of the team I stand for.
Beyond this, I bring energy, enthusiasm, and a real commitment to the spaces I care about. I’m keen to carry this same spirit into the Treasurer role to help support the club in every way I can. Thank you and please consider voting for me!
