Hey! My name is Danilo and I have been the Events Executive this year and have loved being part of this cute society and I hope to help it grow next year! Whilst I don't study PHS at UCL, I have a huge interest in it: I lead the UCL Anthony Nolan Marrow Volunteering group, which is dedicated to seeing people join the Stem Cell register to save lives, and I have been in two vaccine trials, which I have spoken about in the society. My ideas for next year include:
1.) Monthly speaker events
2.) Fun socials such as Colouring Sessions, Cake Socials, Game Nights, Pub Nights and more!
3.) A buddy scheme so that students can help eachother
4.) Networking Socials and CV help etc so that our members can get support for their careers
5.) Study Socials and exam tips to support students
6.) Fundraisers and volunteering (e.g. educating people about preventable diseases and vaccination information sessions) to help save lives in the World.
I want to help expand the society's outreach by collaborating with UCL departments and other societies, networks, universities and organisations, as this will also help members make new friends and connections and enjoy their time at university. I have a lot of experience in running societies and I strongly believe that this will help me in my role.
