Hey guys, Rose here!
From day one, I have been all in with netball socials - evident through our 100% social attendance, and 95% Scala attendance (proud Scala warrior!). While my personal tutors may be upset that my Scala attendance is higher than our Thursday attendance, I think this shows our true commitment to loving a Wednesday night. This commitment, which will be replicated next year, means stepping up to the role of social secs will be somewhat natural to us.
I am committed to bringing a fresh, fun and light-hearted atmosphere to club, creating an environment where everyone feels they belong. We’ve loved this year’s themes, but also know academic stress plays a role in attendance, so we plan to mix in some some less demanding socials. That being said, J do have some great plans for themes to let our creativity shine! Planning a drunk sports day, white and red stripes for Where’s Wally, princess and the frog, with fresher’s head to toe in green being a sight for sore eyes.
To sum up: I was just a silly fresher who began their journey in this society at netball trials, ready to adopt a more active role in the club, by ensuring you all have the best social experience possible . This society has given me friendships, laughs, and memories and I’d love your vote to help create the same experience for everyone next year, and to make all tbese crazy ideas a reality.
