Hi! I’m running to be next year’s tour manager because I want to explore the jazz scenes outside of London with all of you, while hopefully playing some fun tunes along the way. I’ve learned so much from Jazz Society this past year, and I’d love to use that to give back and dive even deeper into the genre.
I have the skills and experience to make next year’s tour a success, having been AP for Term 2’s Fiesta and scheduling AP for Live Music’s Last Call, as well as having coordinated smaller socials. I can organise a range of events, respond quickly to inevitable last-minute changes, liaise with different people and more.
Currently, I have a couple of tour locations in mind. For example, I enjoy a bit of WDR Big Band and seeing them live would be the cherry on top of a tour in Cologne, Germany 👀 I am more than happy to take suggestions on destinations though!
As tour manager, I’ll work towards securing high quality accommodation and creating a flexible itinerary including low-cost, worthwhile activities for each day. I’ll also aim to make the tour more accessible, mitigating potential barriers like ticket costs to ensure that anyone who's interested can enjoy the hallmark event of Jazz Society.
