Hockey Club (Women's): President

Hi everyone! I'm Alex, and I would love to be your president next year! Spending my Wednesdays with all of you over the past two years has been the highlight of my university experience. During this time, I've witnessed the strength of our amazing community of women, who support one another both on and off the pitch. The progress we've made as a club this year, with Kevin and Fran being key additions to the team, is something we should all be proud of. With another four years left in the club, I see my presidency as a chance to offer continuity for current members and future freshers alike. I would work hard to preserve the traditions we all love and adore, and lead by example. I am very organised and next year my degree schedule will be lighter, so I’ll have plenty of time to tackle all the emails, planning, and coordination that comes along with the role. I'm confident I can hit the ground running by preparing over the summer with the committee and the men’s president. In my role as fitness secretary this year, I’ve already faced some of the challenges a president may encounter, such as coordinating events across both the women’s and men’s clubs. However, I believe the success of the “Let’s Lift the Curfew” run shows that I have the skills needed to overcome these challenges. I know being president is not an easy job, but I am completely committed to this club, and I truly believe I would make the best advocate for all of you next year.
