Sports have been a cornerstone in my life and having played competitively in badminton, tennis, track, hockey and netball, I have firsthand experience of the power of sport in uniting people and fostering a strong sense of community. I hope to extend this energy and enthusiasm to Hindu Society,  by cultivating an inclusive environment in which individuals of all skill levels feel confident exploring new sports.

This year, I competed in the NHSF Nationals, representing UCL in netball and badminton, in which we secured second place despite minimal preparation. Thus, I am determined that with more frequent and comprehensive training, UCL can secure a victory at next year's Dharmic games.

One of my personal aspirations is to empower more women in sports. This will allow us not only to showcase the diversity of talent within our society, but also expand our presence at NHSF by enabling us to compete in events such as women’s football and kabaddi

If elected I will:

  • Introduce weekly badminton sessions, by using my connections with RUMS and UCL badminton captains to facilitate court bookings and provide equipment

  • Organise regular socials and collaborate with other societies to expand the variety of sports we offer

  • Tailor specialised trainings across all sports for girls

With my competition experience, strong network within UCL sports and genuine passion, I am keen to elevate our competitive teams as well as provide people with the opportunity to discover new passions in a safe space.
